These Asian-Inspired Beef Lettuce Wraps are just as fun, but offer more crunch and flavor with not your everyday (but easy to find at your grocery store) ingredients.

Ingredients:
1 pound ground lean beef
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 cup water chestnuts, chopped
1/2 cup green onions, sliced
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
Iceberg or butter lettuce leaves (for wrapping)
Toppings:
¼ cup shredded carrots
1 cucumber, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon toasted Sesame seeds
Directions:
In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
Add ground beef and cook until browned.
Stir in water chestnuts and green onions, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. Pour the sauce over the beef mixture and stir to combine.
Simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves.
Top with shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro.
Serve immediately.
